I believe that everyone is dealt a different hand in life, and sometimes we have to walk difficult paths. The experiences we have help shape the way we view ourselves, the world, and others. When these views become distorted or when we feel that we aren't being authentic to our own values and beliefs, we may have trouble coping. Counseling can help us explore our views and beliefs and encourage us to see things differently, reach goals, learn healthier coping skills, or live a more authentic life.

I work collaboratively with my clients, and I help them on their journey of learning to live a happier, healthier life. I view all of my clients through a multicultural lens and take into account the way gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and more can impact their experience. No two people are exactly alike, and that's one of the things I enjoy the most about working with people.

Counseling is a process, and things won't change overnight. If you fell and scraped your knee, you'd have to get through some of the painful parts before it started healing. Our mental health works the same way. There are days when clients may feel defeated or overwhelmed, but I ask all my clients to trust in the process. I'm here to walk along side you and help you deal with the painful parts. While it may not always be easy, it is worth it. And I firmly believe that if you put the work into it, you will create the life you want.
